Frank Water
Frank Water funds sustainable water and sanitation projects in India, Nepal, the Himalayan region and beyond. The Third Pole is where water stress shows up first - which is exactly why we picked them.

Mission Status: Active // Departure: 25 Sept 2026 // Secret Location, Himalayas
We leave on 25 September. Four friends, carrying inflatable sailboats up a Himalayan mountain. One secret lake at the top. Sail 1 km in ten consecutive minutes and we become the highest sailors in history - a Guinness World Record.
Days to go

Data: Rogue Log 001
Compass Rogues are bonkers in boats.
We are a crew of friends who take on extreme, novel, whacky, dangerous, or just downright inexplicable activities in boats (and we use that term loosely).
From drifting down the Thames in kid's inflatables to aiming for the world's highest sail, we float, sail or cruise in ways nobody thought of before. Or they thought of it and thought it was a terrible idea.
When sad news and BS dominate the headlines, don't you think it's time to do something mad, bad or dangerous?

Make the improbable possible
The Compass Rogues Challenge is to do something that was previously thought impossible, impractical, or simply never thought of in the first place.
We challenge you to find novel, extreme, or insane activities in boats - on whatever you might call a "body of water" - and remind the world that there are still new ways to make us smile.
Or laugh. Or cry. Usually both.

Mission_Purpose: Two Charities // One Mountain
Two charities, both working in Nepal
We are paying our own way. Flights, permits and everything else come out of our own pockets, and our sponsors cover the boats, the kit and the freight. This is not a business and we will never be influencers - so every pound you give goes to one of these two charities, and you get to pick which.

Pahar Trust Nepal builds and rebuilds schools across rural Nepal. With the Clarksons Foundation match-funding every pound, we have passed our £60,000 target - enough to rebuild a school in Gorkha District that was destroyed by the 2015 earthquake.
Supply_Manifest: Sponsors_And_Partners
None of this gets off the ground without the trust and generosity of our partners. Between them and our own pockets, the expedition is paid for - so nothing you donate is spent on getting us up the mountain.

All of our technical and safety gear.

The Clarksons Foundation is match-funding every pound raised, which carried us past our £60,000 target - and counting.

We don't pretend to be elite explorers
...or missionaries for some higher plight. This is not a business. We will never be influencers. We're just mates, driven to do memorable things in hard-to-explain situations, marinated in an unholy blend of humour and masochism. And while we reach for the clouds to unfurl sails where none have been before, we invite you to invent your own challenges and share them here.
What will you do, that was previously thought impossible or unthinkable?
Follow our journey. Go on yours. Find or make a way.
